At ACE, we pride ourselves on developing customized solutions that address both sustainability and innovation in the architecture and construction industries. Our team focuses on finding creative answers to complex problems, ensuring that our designs not only meet the unique needs of our clients but also contribute positively to the environment.
One of our most notable achievements is The Frozen Pipes project led by Ar. Shivani Chandra in 2021, aimed at solving the persistent issue of frozen pipes in cold climates. This problem, which can cause significant damage to infrastructure and create costly repairs, has long challenged the construction industry. Ar. Shivani Chandra approached the issue from a fresh perspective by leveraging cutting-edge materials and technology. She utilized Non-Traditional Energy (NTE) materials to enhance insulation and designed a building technique that incorporated solar panels for efficient energy usage. The use of solar panels provided a sustainable source of heat, preventing pipes from freezing even in extremely low temperatures.
This innovative approach was more than just a technical solution—it represented a fusion of sustainable energy practices and modern construction methods. The project was presented at a prestigious event in Bangalore and was honored with the Ethos Award for its ingenuity and impact. Additionally, it caught the attention of international bodies, receiving recognition from the Ladakh government and the European Union for its potential to transform infrastructure in cold regions worldwide.
This success underscores ACE's commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in architecture and engineering. Our work exemplifies how innovative thinking and sustainable design can come together to create solutions that address real-world challenges while paving the way for a more efficient, resilient, and eco-friendly future.
